Haystack Blog

I think it will be much easier and faster for me (or any of us who volunteer) to put the Newsletter on a blog or set up a Yahoo group - and send the readers a link in an email. With a blog, I can post photos here, and you would be able to post comments. Anyone with photos to add, could email them to me and I can post them as time permits. An alternate to this would be to set up a Yahoo group site, where we could write messages back and forth, and anyone of our group could post photos, and take me out of the loop. Each of you would need to become "members" of the Yahoo group, which is a simple thing to do, but I don't know if you are willing to do that. There are other features of Yahoo groups that make it fun and easy to use.

I will set up a temporary Yahoo Group site, just as this is temporary, to see which one meets our needs best. Then maybe we can vote, or at least express your opinions.

The reason for using technology to help deliver Haystack, is that it has been taking Carole about half a day just to send them out. And she didn't have any back up. With blogs and groups, we can share responsibilities - and if one of us needs to be out of the loop while traveling or taking care of other life issues - someone else can easily step in without having to reinvent the wheel.

I'm hoping you will like the Yahoo Group method, and see the value in being able to share the management.
